I've been extremely busy, but haven't used my camera since the last post. Cameron has started baseball and we have our second practice tonight as long as the rain holds out. I'll definately be taking pics of this.
Colin survived the TAKS test and said it wasn't as bad as he thought. They get the kids so nervous and what they don't tell them is that if you don't pass, you have 2 more chances to take it. He also tested for the gifted and talented this past weekend. We thought we'd give it a whirl since he keeps telling us he finishes everything first at school and unfortunately tells us he's 'the smartest one in his class.' We need to work on his humility! Even if he doesn't 'pass the test' he'll be fine. It means they go for an hour a week to a different classroom and push their thinking above and beyond the regular curiculum.
Austin is talking a lot more. 'I shoot you mommy' & 'I beatchoo daddy' are phrases we hear often. Shooting a toy gun and racing someone.
Chris and I received new callings a few months ago and are enjoying them. We hardly see each other, but we are both growing spiritually which we need. I am the 2nd counselor in young womens'. I work with the 12 & 13 yr. old girls in our youth group at church. Wow, do they have energy! Chris is the ward mission leader...something new to him, but has been a good experience.
We are both trying to get back in shape as well. He's loving his bike trainer and rides it at least 4 times a week. And I finally got a membership to the gym just up the road. When we first moved to our home the cost was like $80/month for a single membership. I got mine for quite a bit less...something that works with our budget! YEAH!
