Labor Day

We had a fun Labor day. We started the day early and got some donuts. Then we headed down to Adventure Landing and played a little putt-putt golf with my parents, uncle Shawn and his friend Jared. Go carts were next on the list. The boys love them. Colin rode with me; Cameron with Chris and even Austin rode with Grandpa. I guess Austin liked the ride until dad looked over and he had slid down in his seat and the seat belt was at his chin. They exited to pit row pretty fast.
I think he's missing the objective of using the golf ball
Colin got to do a round in the batting cage
Cameron drove his own go-cart on the kid track And Chris decided to climb a tree as we were leaving. Very random, but that is how my hubby rolls! I love it!We got some lunch and the boys took Grandpas' canoe out for a spin. It was pretty hot by 2pm, so they enjoyed getting splashed under the fountain.
Coming back to shore

Swimming was next on the agenda and then dinner. The kids were tired by the end of the day, but had had tons of fun. It's amazing how great kids act when you do everything they want!

Oh, and Cameron decided he doesn't like school. Thursday and Friday were rough days for him. Chris had to leave him crying. So, tonight he's been saying he doesn't want to go and he's sick, etc. We may just have to bribe him until he gets more comfortable. And we thought Colin would be the one that would have a hard time changing schools! It just kills us as parents to say goodbye when he's that emotional. But we know it's got to be done and he'll be more independent (along with so much else) as the days go on.

Wow -- you kinda' put our Labor Day to shame!! We went shopping and then ate a big, fat dinner. I think I'm coming over to your house on holidays from now on...

Hang in there Cameron -- hope you have a better week!

Looks like a fun day!

Poor Cameron! Janelle is the same way...we've been bribing her all week to go too. :) Kindergarten can be rough I guess.

I want to be in your family. We went to soccer practice. Funny, Kay has always talked about buying a canoe. Is in in their weird Dalton blood?

What a fun day. Going to school all day has to be hard. McKay and Mackenzie are doing great, but only go two or three times a week.

Awwww, poor Cameron. Josh faked sick yesterday because he wanted to spend time with dad at home. I SO understand.

I hope Cameron is adjusting well by now. I can't believe how much different he looks to me. He has just grown up! Update us on how he's handling school, that does break your heart as a parent. Good luck!
