IKE

When we lived in Houston for 3 years we never had to go through a hurricane. All my thoughts and prayers are with all of our friends down there. I've looked at some of their blogs and they've boarded up their homes, gotten emergency supplies, dismantled their swing sets & trampolines. Of course by this time it's already hit land, so I hope everyone is safe.
these are some pics of a target my friend took. She said she was talking to some people in a line at Home Depot that wrapped around the building and the wait was longer than two hours just to get in the store. Sheesh! It really makes me feel guilty about our emergency preparedness supplies.

I know. I need to get more prepared. I am so glad we live here.

Chad's oldest brother is there in Houston with his family. Although I think they are making plans to travel up here for a while until power has been retrieved. Each year I tell myself this is the year to get prepared. I just feel overwhelmed with it at times not knowing what to get exactly if you have advise I'm all ears. It's definitely important and always on my mind.

Hello there! Sorry i've been a stranger. Crazy busy with this move coming up! Could you ask your friend for some ideas of good apartments in corpus to live that are reasonable. We want to live in one till we decide on a house to possibly buy.

It really makes me wonder whether what we do have would do us much good....um, like some food, but no real way to heat it up...
I'm glad that the hurricane wasn't as bad as it could have. I give serious credit to Texas for being as prepared as the state was. I'm proud.

I am safe and happy! Although I'm ready for all the resturants to open again, like Shipley's! I never knew how much I'd miss it till it was gone!
