Visitors

I had a few friends from Houston come to visit this past weekend. Dawnette & Karla both have adopted babies and came to an adoption conference through LDS Services that was held in Coppell. So, conveniently they stayed with us! It was so much fun to see them again. It's been way too long. They were at the conference during the day and so it left us to chat and catch up until 1am one night and about midnight the next. We also enjoyed a molten chocolate cake (old past-time with Dawnette/Mike) from Chilis & a movie. I didn't get a picture of the girls, but I gave her little guy a haircut and so all three babies took a bath together! Karlas' little girl got out before I could catch her in a photo. But here is Austin and his new buddy. Isn't he just a cutie-pie!

In preparation for them staying with us we were able to fix up the guest room/office a bit. We had kept our old mattress from our bed and it'd been laying on the floor since we moved in. We got a bed frame and found a bed-in-a-bag from Garden Ridge. I spray painted our old headboard from light oak to black. It seemed to suit the room better (match the desk).

And I must say that this spray paint is awesome. It adheres to plastic lawn furniture, veneers and more. It shouldn't chip like other spray finishes.
