Beginnings

School started last Monday. We made it through the first week without too much drama. The only thing was the lack of sleep mixed with excitement that caught up with Cameron on Friday and we had a difficult time getting him out of bed.

I asked Cam to let me take a picture and he totally posed like this on his own. You might be wondering about the hair...there is an adorable 12 yr. old boy at church that wears his hair like this and Cameron told me he wanted to wear it just like 'smash' (the boys' nickname)

No other character would do for Cam-man. Lightning McQueen shoes, backpack, lunch box & water thermos caught his eye right away. We aren't big on character shoes, but we weren't going to win this battle, which is ok. It's kindergarten for goodness sakes. He was so excited for school. He told Chris the other night that 'school is boring. All we do is homework all day!' if only he knew!

...and another photo that I could barely get him to smile in! love this kid!Daddy taking the boys...which he does most days. I got to one morning this week and it was a lot of work to feed them, get their lunches ready, get myself decent and get them to school on time.

Here's Austin watching them drive off. We didn't quite know what to do with ourselves that first day, but ohhhhh was it NICE!
