Our Little Get Away- Part II

On Friday night before we retired to the campsite we ate on the Riverwalk and took the boat tour. I've always enjoyed that part of the Riverwalk. It's beautiful.
We started the next morning out at the Alamo. I can't count how many times I've been there, but it's fun to now take my own children. We caught a St. Patricks' Day parade right outside the Alamo.
The boys were so excited to see the real life cannons!
Then back to Sea World for the rides. By this time it was after lunch and we wanted to try and leave around 4pm. We rode the 'Journey to Atlantis' water ride. Yes, that is Cameron next to Chris. I stayed back with Maren with the baby and did you know they have a 'baby swap' program? If you have to split your group up to stay back with a baby- the ones that waited can go through the exit, not wait in line AT ALL, and get on the ride immediately. It was a wonderful surprise to find that out!
Being a Saturday the park was a bit more crowded than Friday. The wait time for the rides were longer than we had time for, so we went to see the penguin exhibit.
It's fun for the kids to see animals in real life after they've seen them on movies (Happy Feet)We saw the ski show again and I went on the Shamu rollercoaster with Cameron one more time. While we waited in line, Chris ran into his first companion he had on his mission! Who would've thought that he'd recognize him with his sunglasses on, at Sea World after not seeing him for 12 years! Of course we had to go chat with him and see his family at another show! Chris also knew his wife because her uncle/aunt lived across the street from Chris' grandparents.
It was well worth getting home at 12:30 Sunday morning and still making it to church! I'm so thankful Chris loves to take roadtrips because I couldn't stay awake in the passenger seat!
Chris swept me off my feet as we were leaving the park and Colin captured the moment!
