Gift for Boys

When Cameron was born we decided to give Colin something that would help him adjust. We found a boy looking baby doll and something else. This time around we didn't want to do dolls or toys, esp. with Christmas coming shortly. So, I decided I'd make them quilts. Each has their initials on it and hopefully they'll enjoy them for many years to come. I haven't really done a quilt before, but with help from our moms I think they turned out pretty nice. My grandma will be proud! Actually the idea to do a tie quilt came from Chris. He and I have blankets our grandmas made us YEARS ago and the boys have been using them. My mom and Sally helped me tie them so there's a touch of grandmas on theirs as well. Here's the finished product.

That's a great idea, and they turned out so cute! I'm still working on the baby blanket I was started when I found out I was pregnant with Ben - can you say procrastination? Maybe I'll use your idea and give it to him when the next baby comes along!

Those blankets turned out great. Cute fabric. My sister-in-law made a blanket for Jake that looks the same fabric.
