The month of February

Ok, about two hours ago I spent 30 minutes setting up a new post and somehow I lost it. I'm bugged. That's ok. I think it was too long anyways. I was just thinking about how busy the month of Feb. is going to be for the rest of my life. We have about 6 family members birthdays (Colins being a big one), mine and my parents anniversaries, and this year I'm helping with a lingerie bridal shower for my sister.
I'm definately not complaining because I enjoy being busy. And Chris and I are feel very blessed to be able to help others out at this point in our lives. I would feel awful if I couldn't because I was too busy with my own life.
For about 9 days my nephew who is now almost 3 months old was in the hospital with RSV. So, I got to help my mother in law watch my nieces while Ashley spent time with Hayden. He came home last Wednesday and looked 100% better. I saw him smile for the first time and kind of giggle. Too cute.
I also get to occasionally watch my brothers daughter Kaitlyn who is in Iowa, live via instant message. Technology is great. She is so much chunkier than the picture I've included and we can't wait to see her in March when they come for Katrinas wedding.
With each niece or nephew that comes along I am enjoying being an aunt more! Especially when I don't have a baby to distract me. I'm not saying I don't want another baby, it's just nice to enjoy our siblings babies when they come.
Here are some pics of Chris and my nieces and nephews that I love so much. Of course around Valentines Day I think about those I love a bit more!
This is my brothers baby Kaitlyn- born Nov. 27, 2005
this is my SIL's baby Hayden- born dec. 6, 2005 and her girls Elisabeth (3) and Reagan (2) with my boys and Grandma Pete

Next is Chris' brothers boy, Bridger- he'll be 1 yr. this year

Tuesday, 21st is Colins' 6th birthday! He will get up just in time to open some gifts, eat a bit, get dressed and head out the door for school. But the fun will just begin. We made chocolate suckers that I will take to him and his classmates during lunch. Then in the afternoon we're having a spiderman birthday party at our home with 4 friends from school. It's rainy/drizzly outside and about 40 degrees, or we'd have had it at the park. We have a pinata and will play pin the spider on spiderman! I came up with that one last year! Then after dinner we'll have family over for cake and ice cream. I think this will be a very enjoyable day for him. He seems so excited.

Here are Colin and his friends from the left and Colin swatting his pinata! It was quite a zoo, but all went well and it was only an hour long! All that mattered was Colin had a great time!
