Another week down...

I think I finally have the two older boys into a routine of making their beds before they go to school. Oh, and picking up clothes off the floor. That's been a big accomplishment this past week. It's like pulling teeth to get them to do any chores. I also usually start the dishwasher after breakfast. It works out nice so they can unload the dishes after school before any tv or outside play time. I've just felt lately that they really need to start doing some of these things and make them a habit. It's helped that Chris and I have been doing the same. We have heard from Colin 'well, you're bed isn't made every day' and all I can say is GUILTY. One more resolution to add to the list!
Chris is loving his Christmas gift. Although it would be a great picture if he had on all his riding gear (i.e. riding jersey, spandex). But then again, he'd make me delete that off of the blog! He has really gotten into road biking and the cold weather mixed with time restraints (and ocassionally a grumpy wife) have cut his riding time down substantially. He's been getting up and riding before work and is pretty much in heaven. Both of us thoroughly enjoy exercising. I'm happy to see him in a routine again.
...and a snapshot of my little independent 2 year old in his church clothes grandma Pete got him. I actually love that he's independent. He's so good about not making messes and cleaning up after himself if he does. He is talking a lot lately. He started saying 'gink' (drink). It's fun to listen to him use ending sounds like with the word 'reach'. The 'ch' sound is very clear.

Collins and I both thought Austin looked very cute today at church! Love the cords!

It was fun to see you guys last night. Glad John and Chris could finally meet too. They'll definitely have to go riding sometime. Super cute pic of Austin - he's getting so big!

Don't you love the new year? We started a new job list for the kids and I am suprised at how much they enjoy it.

That is a big accomplishment. Go, Mindy! (and keep going boys!) That bike stand sounds like an incredibly good idea. Why would someone get an exercize bike when you could have that thing and your regular bike to go with it? Talk about a space saver.
Austin is handsome.

Chores are the best things for kids. Just wait until they can sweep and mop. I love it. Nathan is 13 and doing his own laundry. It's nice because as they get older the messes get better. It is so fun to see you and all your little boys.

Do you think you would want to host a Pampered Chef party soon? Or should I take you off my list?
