I love Christmas time. It's such a nostalgic time of year. The holiday memories of growing up, songs that I hear on the radio, and thoroughly loving when family comes to town. I'm so happy this time of year.
Since being married, I've always wanted my house (whenever I were to get one) to look like a gingerbread house decorated with lights. I prefer the big white lights that stay in one place. Chris is of course on board to do anything with the outside of the house, so he put up lights earlier last week.
The finished product:
There's my sweetie. No, he doesn't need glasses, but he's sporting a new line just in at his office. Why not!
I probably won't like the electric bill coming at the end this month, but it will be worth it.
Speaking of Christmas music...Friday night we went to the downtown Plano tree lighting. The group Chris sings with performed so we braved the (not so cold compared to today-28) weather to listen to them. They are very talented and fun to listen to.
My home boys loving their winter hats purchased for this winter. For some reason the ones from last year don't fit. It couldn't be that my little guys are growing up! I'm so grateful that they get excited about little things.
Chris got home late Monday night so the boys and I had some friends over and we made gingerbread houses. The kids had a lot of fun. Colin even joined in at the end.

This time of year makes me happy too! I love the lights on your house and the gingerbread house turned out cute too. Your boys are getting big - and ever more handsome :)
Your house looks great! Christopher did a great job with the lights. Not sure ours will get up this year.
FUN! Hey can you send me the pic of the adult boys acting silly from Thanksgiving pics?? THanks!
Your house is so pretty! I love the gingerbread look too.
Can I hire your hubby out for next year? This year the lights only got as tall as a tree. Your little boys are so darn cute!
The lights are nice!
Abi would be so jealous of your lights, she keeps saying, when are we going to decorate our outside? Maybe next year sweetie!
Your house lights came out great! Love this season!
