5 years ago (this week) my dear, sweet Grandpa Fox passed away. We have missed him so much. This man was the most humble, patient, soft spoken, hard working, talented (he had a beautiful singing voice) and kind person you will ever meet. He was so respectful of my grandmother and his children. What a great example he has been to his children, me, Chris and so many others. I am so proud of my grandmother and how she has dealt with the loss of her sweetheart.
One of my fondest memories of my grandparents coming to visit is when Grandpa would sit on the front lawn while we played and chew on our grass. Even my friend from way back in elementary school would remember that.
Mom has always told me that when I got my own house, she'd let me have the piano that her parents gave to her years ago. It was played in their home and in my parents, and now I am so excited to have it in our home. It might be a bit out of tune, but after traveling in grandpas little blue truck from Utah (how many years ago?), to two houses in Allen and now to mine- a few tune-ups are well deserved! I know her and dad miss the piano at times and if you ever want it back...just say the word!
This picture was taken when we visited Utah in the summer of 2001. Colin was about 18 months old and was Great Grandpas' big helper. My children love going and playing in their huge backyard. They especially enjoy the sandbox. Thanks grandma, Debbie, David, Richard and MOM for your great examples and the charitable hearts you have. All of you are truly amazing and I want to be able to give as much as you have and continue to do, not matter what your circumstance may be. GRANDMA, you and GRANDPA did a wonderful job at raising your kids!
