sick little puppy

Austin got a rash on Thursday and I wasn't quite sure if it was from not applying his sunscreen well enough. When it spread to his white bum, I figured there was something going on. So, his cough, runny nose, rash, warm body (no fever, though) and smaller appetite all were too much for me. I took him to Care Now yesterday and sure enough he has strep throat. yuck! He's crying right now in bed because it hurts to cough. He's been on antibiotics for 24 hours, but it still hurts and coughing non-stop for a few days gets old really fast.
Here's a picture I took of him yesterday. His cheeks are pretty red. Sad little man.

I just hope no one we've been around gets it. I apologize in advance. Sometimes I wish kids would act sick faster than they do. You know how the signs don't show up for days and then it's too late. I stayed home from church with him and I'm about to my whits-end from listening to coughing from him and Camerons' asthma cough. It stresses me out when I can't get it under control after 24 hours of breathing treatments. No, I'm not totally a control freak- just have a few pet-peeves!

hey! thanks for the comment! They were super easy once we figured out how we were going to do it. We basically made a frame out of wood.....had home depot cut it all up to the proper lengths I wanted, then used finishing nails, brackets and wood glue to put it together. Then I went and just had some fabric cut that I like together, and put it on the frames using a staple gun! May sound complicated, the way I described it, but it was really easy!

Poor kid! I guess I know who I'll be calling for advice when Tessa catches strep one day. I wouldn't have a clue how to handle that.
As sad as he is, that still is a pretty cute picture of the lil guy.
