Thank goodness for inspections!

Last week we put an offer on this home and it got accepted! Great news you say--and of course we thought so. Well, during the inspection he found a crack in the ceiling in the master bedroom that is larger than a pencil (not a good sign). The door to the master bathroom didn't shut evenly either. It being a foreclosure the bank won't pay for anything. It's not like we had to fix that right away, but this home is only 3 years old and already has these kind of foundation issues. You can imagine what a hard time we'd have in the future selling it with a problem like that. We weren't going to go through with it. So, sadly we backed out today. This home was ideal, though. Corner lot, elem. school right at the end of our street, neighborhood pool, besides paint and an AC re-charge it didn't need any other work to move in. It was great! We are bummed, but know we'll find something better (hopefully soon)
So, the search goes on!

Oh, good thing for that inspection! I always fear when we sell this house that an inspection will be done and termites will be found. That is my greatest fear! :-(

DANG! What a super cute house. How crummy that it fit everything that you were looking for but had to have a poor foundation.

Good luck and I hope you'll soon find the house you're looking for (and I hope more so that it's in our ward...).

Thanks for stopping by at the hospital the other day and today!

Oh Mindy~
I know you were so excited about this house. Thank Heaven that you don't have to deal with that once you got into it a little while. You will fin something great soon. Let me know when you do.

Oh that is such a bummer...on the other hand good for finding that out sooner then later! Guess it wasn't meant to be, but the house you do move in to will be so much BETTER! Keep us posted and good luck!

That stinks! Have you had any luck on ebby???? I always found the best stuff on there. Oh bidselect.com has all the foreclosures you should check them out...a lot of realtors don't mention these because it is more paper work. DD got hers from an auction and had to put about 3K into it but it is worth 20K more than they paid.

Ebby has about the same as realtor.com I did look there and a lot of them are in Little Elm ISD. But we have an offer on another one and should hopefully find out today if it got accepted.
