Looks real tough, doesn't he?
& check out the definition is those arms!
Colin got a new backpack for school that had some temporary tatoos with it. My boys love them. Although I must say these are a bit more permanent than I expected them to be. They even had to wear long sleeves to church so the tatoos wouldn't be visible. Colin & Cameron were out climbing trees this morning and Colin was actually willing to do a 'photo shoot'. O.K. now I know that if he's involved in something he likes he'll allow me to take pics of him.
Colin has really come into his own the past 6 months. One day he even told his dad and I that he wanted to act more grown up, so he was going to call us Mom and Dad instead of mommy and daddy. And it's stuck since that day. It kind of makes us sad, but we're not going to try to change him. Cameron even calls us mom & dad. It is a quite weird hearing my 4 yr. old say it. Despite having to let Colin grow up (like any normal 7 yr. old) he is such a good boy. He is very inquisitive about everything. Try explaining to a 7 yr. old why it's hard for mom & dad hesitate to buy $60 Heelys for his pair of new school shoes. But this did lead to talking about budgeting and all the bills dads paycheck goes towards.
He is a wonderful big brother and sometimes I worry that I ask too much help from him! Of course he's more than willing to help out if it has to do with Austin...Cameron is a different story (so typical as well). I love him so much.

I love him so much too! Everytime i go home i am amazed at how big the boys are getting...not just physically but emotionaly as well!! Colin loves to speak his mind and i love it! I remember him telling cameron that my name was "KATRINA" not "Nina"! I laughed but i miss the Nina days too! HE is going to pass us both up soon with his height!
That first picture looks like a prison picture!!!! Scary! I am surprised such a sweaty could pull that off. They do grow fast...I still can't believe you have a 7yr old.
Kate loves those permanant tatoos as well. I put one on her and it wouldn't come off for 2 1/2 weeks. Hello! Collin does look so grown up, I can't believe he's 7 either.
Mindy I can't believe you have a 7 year old. I still remember holding Colin at Malinda's wedding reception and he was such a tiny little baby. Where has the time gone?
Man, Collin is growing up. He sports a tatoo really well! I just loved the picture of him showing his arms! It's so cute...I mean, cool. ;)
I agree with everyone else...
One, I can't believe you have a 7 year old! And two, he's looking so grown up. Time is going by way too fast and we're getting OLD! Oh well. Cute pictures of your "more mature" Colin.
Thanks everyone! Yes, we got an early start, and I'm excited for the day when we're still young and can 'play' once the boys are out of the house!!!
What a tough kid! Yeah, I cant believe your boys are growing so fast!
Awwww....Mindy that's sweet. It's hard to let our little ones grow up isn't it. I think it will kill me when my kids go from calling me mommy/momma to just "Mom". Heck, Andrew is 10 and still calls me mommy! :p
