AWESOME STORE

OK ladies (and gentlemen-if any guys read) I have the best store for you to go to if you want the RIGHT shoe for your feet.
Let me first start by telling you that I had decided I wanted new running shoes for Mothers' Day. I was in no rush to get them because I can't really run yet b/c of my ankle, and finally got around to going to this store today. Rhonda had actually mentioned it to me and it's right by the bike store that Chris is a frequent customer to.
Run On is the name of the store. There are about 4 locations in the metroplex. Go to http://www.runontexas.com/ to find the locations. But the wonderful part of the store is that they have employees who really know what they're talking about and help you find the right shoe for you. They watched me walk, jog and do calf raises to see how my arches are as well as how I land on my feet as I'm walking. Then they measured my feet and came out with 3 different kinds of shoes for me to try on. I was very impressed. They even did a Cinderella slipper thing and held the shoe while I slid my foot in. Now that's service!
We actually tried to go there on Saturday but they were closed. Chris asked if I wanted to just try the mall, and I almost complied. I'm so glad I refused the mall. My actual reply was 'No way...those people don't know what they're talking about.'
Here's the lucky pair I got. My feet are wide and I have a very low arch. What is funny is that most people with low arches tend to lean on the arch as they walk. I do the opposite and basically walk on the outer part of my feet so my arch doesn't even touch the ground. Wonderful insight I received today.
HAPPY RUNNING!

Crystal, it is a bit more pricy than Academy or places like that. They were like $90. A bit more than I have ever spent but I'm to the point where I need the right shoe so I don't do more damage to my knees & feet.

thanks so much Rhonda!

ok, you are the 2nd person to mention this place and after spending $160 on my last 2 pair of shoes and having them BOTH hurt my feet, i may just finally break down and go.

Hey Mindy! That's some awesome advice. Just yesterday I was looking at my pitiful, since-Junior-year tennis shoes and told myself that I NEED something new and not torn up. But I'm really picky with what shoes to get and have insoles placed in them because I like how the arch feels on my feet. So I'm totally going to check out that store. Thanks again and hope to see you tomorrow!
