Friday

Friday was a fun day at the dr. Austin had his 6 month checkup. Cameron had had a rough morning and I was very unsuccessful at getting him dressed to go. SO we show up to the dr. in his pj's. And the one time he refuses to get dressed I run into Becca Foust! Very fun to see her and little Zach. Him and Austin have the same dr.
So, Austin weighed 19 lbs. 8.5 oz. He was 26 1/2 inches long and 18 in. round head. All three measurements are above average for his age. He got three shots and barely cried. I was very proud of him. He's such a good baby. He's actually been really sleeping through the night 7 or 8pm-6pm. Loving it!
Then after the dr. Chris had a great idea to meet for lunch. I'm always happy to do so. Afterwards we were driving back to drop him off at work. His office is in the same shopping center as the Tony and Guy Hairdressing Academy. A lot of the students eat lunch in the back of the building. As we were driving past Chris said 'and this is where all the beached whales hang out.' I looked at him and said WHAT? He then pointed to the area that they eat lunch or take smoke breaks at, and I just died laughing. A good 15 students were laying on the cement in their black uniforms (pants, shirt & aprons) sun tanning. No one looked like a whale, but they were literally huddled together catching some rays. Some time I might inconspicuously take a picture to post. I know black attracts the sun, but they'd probably get a bit more if they didn't have on full coverage pants and shirts! Quite amusing! If I do go to cosmo school someday like I hope to I doubt I'll join in that fun!
AND THEN...
Thanks to Ashleys' mother in law we got free tickets to go to Six Flags with them Friday night. The kids had a great time. Unfortunately, the park closed at 10pm and after letting the kids enjoy Looney Toon Land our hubbies weren't able to ride the Titan. They were gracious enough though to let Ashley and me ride a few rides while they entertained the kids. I think it's been at least 10 years since I've been there and wow what a rush of adrenaline the Flashback and Batman rides were. I must say walking around brought back a ton of fun memories from middle and high school! Thanks for inviting us!
Here are some pics of the fun-

Colin was sporting some awesome blue shades that he picked from the treasure box at school. When they earn a certain amount of 'Colt Cash' (their incentive program) they can choose a treasure. He has worn them all day the past two days even after it's gotten dark. I hope he doesn't have a headache from not wearing his prescription glasses for a few days!

I haven't been to Six Flags in forever...looks like a ton of fun!

That's so funny about the cosmo students sun-bathing in all their black get up! So random. I would love to see a picture of that if you could ever sneak one!

I had a lot of fun. The Christophers can ride the Titan next time. I would actually like to ride it too. Glad we went.
