Wax on...Wax off & Girl Talk

Colin started karate a few weeks ago. We had to order his Gi (uniform) and it came in on Thursday. He was so excited to get it that he learned the special way to put on the belt by that evening. He's pretty cute in the class. He's so obedient and fast at following commands. He is also one of the older boys, but it's a great beginner class. He's been wanting to do karate for about 5 months now. But with Austins arrival and trying to get our budget set up we haven't been able to sign him up. Luckily the recreation center offers a course two days a week for two months. And it's A LOT cheaper than going to a private center. He's enjoying it so far. Too bad Cameron isn't 4 yrs. old yet, or he'd be right there with Colin!

Cameron wanted to get in on the fun of our photograph session, and is showing everyone Lightning McQueens backside! I don't know...don't ask!

I know, I know...I'm horrible. But I had to see what Austin would look like if he were a girl! I don't know if I think he makes that cute of one, honestly! I remember Katrina and I doing the same thing to Shawn and he was pretty cute.

Speaking of girls...all of you who have daughters tell me if they've gotten into Barbies yet. I watched a single sisters' 3 kids Tues. night and she has an 8 yr. old daughter. She wanted me to play Barbies with her. I was speechless. I didn't know what to say, but didn't want to be rude. I played a little with her and I was then 'saved by the Austin'. He was pretty fussy so we had to put a hault to the excitement (can you sense my sarcasm?). I was a tom-boy growing up. I wasn't too much into Barbies and such. I would've much rather been outdoors playing kickball with the neighborhood kids, riding my bike, going to the park, attempting to climb on top of the school to fetch my soccer ball, or playing kiss tag! Anyways, it made me re-think my wanting a daughter of my own. I know I will have a blast doing her hair, dressing her in all the way cute outfits that the stores have now for them and painting her nails...BUT I must say we'd try hard to avoid Barbies in our home. Especially with three (or more...who knows how far we'll go with kids) older brothers she'll more than likely be a tom-boy herself. So, no offense AT ALL to anyone with girls! I'm just zoned to boys I guess!

You are so mean to your children! First you pick there noses and now bow's! What are we going to do with you! HAHA j/k! Ya i played with barbies and loved them, but i have a hard time playing with them with my kids at work. The McClennan girls are a good mix! They have all the girl stuff but they love to go outside and wrestle and do things that "boys" do. So when i watched them it wasn't as scary as i thought it would be!

Bella is just getting into Barbie's. I'm trying to avoid it only b/c of all the small shoes ect. But she is ALL girl. Seriously she gets upset if she gets to church and forgot to put on her 'lips' - chapstick. She loves to dress up, she's into Disney princesses and can't wait to go back to the YMCA child watch b/c they have Barbie's there she can play with. I think we just kind of get into what our kids are into whether they be boys or girls. I was kind of a tom boy growing up as well, I kind of had to be with 4 older brothers, but I definitely had a girly side to me too.

He looks SOOO cute. lol, I love it! I think we need to bring Kaitlyn down more often, especially when she gets longer hair. I love it. Well the whole barbie thing, Julia and I played with them like crazy, but Jess and Tiara haven't really. Maybe it's the older brothers and you'll get lucky and have a girl who doesn't like barbies.
Love ya!

That is hilarious!!! Better hide that picture - Austin might not like it too much when he's a little older! Janelle likes Barbies a little, mostly she just likes changing their clothes (which means I change their clothes), thank heavens we only have 3!
