4th of July

Today was a nice day, and I hope everyone enjoyed it! We had a ward breakfast and the boys got to go fishing with Chris. Daddy had a fun time telling the boys about when he was growing up and hung out at Bob Woodruff Park all the time!
The primary children sang My Country and Colin participated. Since we've been practicing he remembered every word. (He's also sporting a new do the past few days. I've been trying for a while for him to let me do his hair).
It rained a lot of today, so we just relaxed at home. We did have about an hour of swim time with my parents, and then the thunder and dark clouds came. We went for a drive around 7pm and the boys fell asleep...what's new! Cameron has been really tired lately because he's done away with his naps, so we were able to get him inside and in his bed without a fuss. Whew! He'll have a good night sleep and be happy tomorrow. Needless to say I am at home with him while Chris is with Colin watching the fireworks, but with the muggy weather I'm not that broken up about it. Here he is before we transferred him to his bed.

The scratch that is vaguely visible on the side of his left eye is from him running right into the vacuum handle yesterday. I was vacuuming and right as I pulled my arm backwards he had run from his room right into the handle. It literally knocked him off his feet. Pretty sad and only a tiny bit of blood.
