Mind-boggling

My goodness. I haven't posted in a while and couldn't remember my user name to log in. Too much going on! I figured it out and will give an update on our family life. Well, my family never really thought it would happen, but now that my parents are selling their home of 22 years it's almost surreal. They have decided to move to the west side of Allen to be closer to church that they are extremely involved in, for my brother Shawn to be closer to his friends (all of which live on the west side). They found a lovely home in a great neighborhood for the price they want. It has a neighborhood pool that I am just thrilled about. Another family in their ward is also buying their home, so their current neighbors that are very sad to see them go felt a little better to hear more Mormons are moving in!

Chris and I went to Houston Friday and enjoyed his graduation banquet. We had a nice hotel and enjoyed our alone time. I'll post pictures after graduation because all the pics are on the computer with Chris. He just got back down to Houston tonight. Colins' first game of the season went well. They all did pretty good. It's so much fun to watch them. A boy from his class is on the team they played and he was all waving to him and jumping all around when grandmas and grandpa showed up. Too cute!

The job hunt is going well so far. Chris has had a handful of interviews thus far and at least one wants him, and others are interested. Too bad he's gone this week and can't meet to go over details with the dr.'s that want him. But he will definately be in touch with them next week. I'm chompin' at the bit wanting to know the details, but time will tell!

Between organizing minor league games for Colins' team to attend, touching up girls camp plans, helping my mom pack her house up, getting ready to go to graduation (THIS SATURDAY. IT'S HERE FINALLY!!!), practices and games my mind is everywhere.

Sitting in church today I was thinking about how much I love my boys! I know I've said it before, but the saying "you don't know what you have until it's gone"...well, babysitting for 5 weeks, I wasn't able to be a full time mom to my own kids. I missed it and coming back to it I just really enjoy them and are proud of the boys that they are. Chris too! But Chris and I are grateful for the examples of our parents and grandparents and the way we were raised. It's helped us tremendously to raise our kids. We look up to them a lot and are always open to new parenting techniques, because each child is so different.

Have a great week.

Wow! I can't believe your parents are moving! That has to be sad and exciting at the same time for them! You'll have to send their new address to me once they move so I can pass it on to mom.
