More Summer Fun

Chris has a new best friend!
I was able to get away (without kids) and visit my dear friend in Ohio. They had a bunch of friends meet us at the lake and play on their jet skis. We ate, laughed, ate, walked, made cards, shopped, organized, sewed and thoroughly enjoyed each others company. I had a blast!

I decided to start teaching piano lessons. I have 6 students. 8 if you include Austin and Cameron. Austin can do the music that has numbers only, but you can only go so far with a student that can't read. He enjoys the candy he gets if he 'practices'. Cameron enjoys it. I just need to be more consistent with his lessons. Colin does well, but has told our parents he doesn't want to do piano. Maybe after he starts guitar lessons next week I can get him to do both. He does have a good basis though just from music class at school.
I was recently released from serving in the young womens organization at church, but we had a great 'last hoorah'. I made these fun cupcakes! It was a cruise theme.

Look at that beautiful truck! I'm glad you were able to get away and have some girl fun!! You are so brave to teach your boys!!! I started teaching violin again, but I worry if I took any of my kids on, it might precipitate ww3. Great job!! Missed you at the balloon fest breakfast!

Love the truck! Loren would be so jealous!

And maybe I'm dumb (which is very likely), I didn't know that you could play the piano, let alone teach lessons! HA!

You look great! How does it feel to be out of YW's? Good, bad, relived? Those cupcakes look awesome though! It's funny you posted those because I JUST got off of this blog post:

Check it out! I'm sooo gonna make some (one of these days, because the temptation to eat them ALL would be too strong for me to handle).

Hope you're doing good! Did you get my invite to view my blog? If not, shoot me an email and I'll re-invite ya!

You're a piano teacher! I wish you lived closer so I could send Tessa to you....I might need to get a piano first. It's on my list.
Beautiful truck.
