March

I have not wanted to sit at the computer much lately. Just enough time to check email and be done. But I keep thinking of grandmas and great grandparents that enjoy seeing our kids and knew I had to update asap. They grow up too fast.

This is how we've been rolling a lot lately. In the car with our sunglasses...me and Austin! I turned around at a stop light and happened to have my camera. He's irresistable.I am finally pleased with this corner of my family room. I found some great fabric at Hobby Lobby to cover my lamp shade with. They even had a great trim that went very well with the fabric. With three big windows on the other side of the room it isn't too dark with the brown paint. Now if I can just decide what pics of the boys I want above the tv, the room will be complete.
We stopped at the dealership to get a part fixed on my explorer and they had this 1948 model truck on display. Austin couldn't believe how big the steering wheel was and how small the bench seat was. He really liked 'driving' it.
We are working on being independent and putting our underwear and shorts on by ourselves! At least he got them on, right?! both were backwards!
Colin at the pinewood derby last week. His car didn't do that great, but he, Chris and grandpa Pete had fun working on it. He was a good sport. Yesterday he was in a mood and asked to destroy his car. I agreed as long as he understood the end result. I am not sure if he went through with it.
Colin loves one on one time with anyone! It's actually really sweet. If anyone wants to learn anything at all, sit next to Colin for a while and he'll be more than willing to share any kind of random fact with you.
The first graders performed at a PTA meeting a few weeks ago. Cameron did awesome (yes a little bias, but it was pretty darn good. Cameron has always loved to sing and listen to music, but we haven't really seen him sing and dance! He knew every move and the words to each song. The lighting was horrible and it took me a while to figure out a good setting on my camera, but despite the quality this is a great pic of him movin' and groovin'.
I loved how he kept looking at us and smiling. He was so happy to be performing! He was not embarrassed at all.
Another round of snow that collected in an interesting fashion. The wind was strong from the northwest. If you look closely it stuck on the side of cars, mailboxes, homes, etc. that faced northwest.
Colin received the rank of Bear at the pack meeting. One more year and he'll be a boy scout.
