My brother Shawn went to visit friends/family in Utah this past week and said there isn't any snow on the ground. He definately left Texas at the wrong time!
I had a blast playing with the kids. I have never really rolled snow to make a snowman. It really works! Growing up here I never remember it snowing this much! This is sure going to be a wonderful memory for the boys!
Austin and I built a muscle snowman in honor of Shawn! I tried to chisel the midsection and give him some serious biceps.
Colin waited patiently overnight to tackle the snowman. He was surprised at how tightly packed from freezing overnight the snowman was. It wasn't a soft landing! And yes this morning I put plastic over their socks to protect them from getting wet. Cut me some slack. We live in Texas and do not own snowboots. I'm too practical to buy even rain boots. Don't have hiking boots since we don't really hike either. Snow boots aren't in the budget to wear once a year! Their shoes will dry!Cameron and his snowman they can really make snow angelsAustin and his friend Jack were elated to have a snowball fight. Needless to say Austin won! Look at that mischievous smile.
READY...AIM...
FIRE!no school today and Monday is a holiday. Once again the roads really aren't icy, just slushy. I guess I can't blame the school district for being concerned for the safety of our children.
